Nanchang No.5 High School was founded in 1954. It is located in Nanchang, Jiangxi, China. The school is widely regarded as one of the top high schools in Jiangxi province. Graduates are accepted into Tier 1 universities in China, including Peking University and Tsinghua University.
Founded in 2011, Nanchang No.5 High School International Department (NCWZID) operates as a comprehensive three-year high school. It aims at preparing students to become responsible lifelong learners and competitive global citizens of an increasingly connected world. Students at NCWZID take part in an extensive curriculum that is college preparatory in nature. NCWZID provides AP courses (CEEB code: 694649) and Pearson Edexcel A Level/AS/IGCSE courses (Center code: 95598). All courses in NCWZID are delivered by certified teachers. 90% of teachers hold Master’s degrees or higher. Instructors of majority courses are either native English speakers or non-native English speakers with nearly native-level fluency in English.
